Hello Ashley, can you please tell our website viewers where you’re originally from and where you currently reside?

I’m a Boston girl [Smile] Born & raised. I do live in Philadelphia now, but like the saying goes, “you can take the girl out of Boston, but you can’t take Boston out of the girl.” [Smile]

How did you get started with modeling and how long have you been doing it for?

I got started way back in 2006 when I got voted as Miss Congeniality for the Miss Teen Massachusetts pageant. I had to do a mandatory photo shoot and I just knew that being in front of the camera was where I was meant to be! I’ve been at it for 6 long, but amazing, years.

What are the pros and cons of being a model?

The good always outweighs the bad. I love being able to do what I love and inspire others. I have a voice that’s heard and I use that to shed light on important issues, causes, and all types of things. Plus, it’s great to have an excuse to get pampered once a month to keep your look up. [Laughs] I’m a woman, what can I say? The negatives are what you’d find anywhere. You need to be cautious of people’s motives.. A lot of their intentions don’t benefit you. It is what it is.

Do you have any other talents besides modeling, if so what are they?

I danced for 18 years. I was trained in tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hiphop, ballet, you name it. I actually competed for So You Think You Can Dance and got to the last 100 out of thousands in Los Angeles. That was a very proud moment.

Switching the subject a little bit since this is The Bachelor Project. What type of guys are you interested in?

Oh my the “what’s your type?” question. [Laughs] I’m indecisive. I love my cleaned up, business men, but I also love the athletic tattooed guy that just looks like trouble. I just love a gorgeous man with a bigggggg….. heart. [Wink] I’m a hopeless romantic, so sweep me off my feet and I’m yours.

What makes you a candidate for a Bachelor?

I’m a little bit of everything, and I’ll always keep you on the edge of your seat. I’m that girly girl who will be that dressed to a T woman on your arm and I’ll also be that girl in a Patriots jersey screaming at the TV during Monday night football. I’m successful and driven, plus I’m extremely spontaneous. Anything to keep it exciting. [Smile]

What is the most romantic thing that you ever did for a man and what was the occasion?

The most romantic thing I’ve ever done for someone was flying 3000 miles to surprise him. I was in school in California and he was back at home in Boston. We obviously were missing one another and I decided to come up with some lame excuse as to why I needed to shut my phone off and couldn’t talk to him until the morning. Little did he know, I was hopping on a plane to surprise him at home at 6AM. I was only home for 24 hours, but it put a smile on his face which made it all worth it.

If you can go on a perfect date, what would it consist of?

My perfect date consists of lots and lots of penguins. I absolutely love penguins, I squeal when I just see one on TV. I’m not one of those girls that needs to wined and dined. If we went to the zoo and got to pet and hold penguins, then ended the date with some frozen yogurt… You would have won my heart right then and there.

If you can go on a vacation anywhere, where would it be, and why would you choose to go there?

I want to go so many places. Bora Bora, South Africa, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Antartica [to see penguins of course] I just want to see the world. So maybe a world adventure. I couldn’t choose just one place. I love seeing and meeting new people and being in a place that’s unfamiliar. It’s exciting to me.

What sets you apart from other models?

I’m a model with lots of curves and confidence. I’m unique because I’ve stepped out of what is accepted in this industry and I’m making my own path in hopes of inspiring others to feel comfortable in their own skin. Plus, I just don’t stop, EVER. I’m constantly doing something, working with a new company, or creating my own philanthropies. Never, ever count me out. [Wink]
