Bowers & Wilkins has introduced a new colour scheme for its much-loved P3 headphones – blue. Joining the existing black and white models, the electric blue edition ‘phones feature the same audio refinement, but with an in-your-face vibrancy.
Perhaps swayed by the meteoric rise of Beats by Dr Dre, Bowers & Wilkins has strayed from its comfort zone in releasing the new P3s in a colour that will compete directly in that section of the market. However, they retain the audiophile quality that garnered their white equivalent a four-and-a-half star review on Pocket-lint in the summer of last year.
The P3s come in a foldable style for easy storage when travelling, and you also get a hard carry case in the box. They are built using bespoke materials, aluminium and durable rubber, and come with a couple of cables to work with, whatever you source device may be – one has an iPhone in-line mic and remote, the other matches all other devices.
Priced at £169.99, the same as the white and black versions, the blue Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones are available now.
