One is a master at making heirloom timepieces, and the other symbolizes the best of British automotive luxury brands.

Together for 10 years now, both Bentley and Breitling have created many exceptional chronographs such as the $154,000 Breitling for Bentley Limited Edition Mulliner Tourbillion, the Ice Speed Record chronograph, the supersports light body watch, and the Limited-editionGMT V8. Now these iconic brands will be celebrating 10 years for partnership with the launch of Bentley Light Body Midnight Carbon Watch that impressively embodies the perfect combination of technique and aesthetics, and has been especially designed to appeal to connoisseurs with a love of exceptional horological creations. The joining of hands happened over the Bentley’s rise to the zenith on the Le Mans races, with first 2 positions going to the drivers of the British brand, and now the Swiss master watchmaker has created something equally unique to celebrate the best of the both worlds.

Created with a titanium casing and all-black exterior appearance, the limited edition light Midnight watch will have only 1,000 editions for sale worldwide. The famous ‘Winged B’ logo adorns the top of the central dial, with the side bezel mimicking the grille of Bentley cars, and the black rubber strap bearing the name of the British car brand. If one recalls, the dashboard of the Bentley generally has its own distinct set of crowded dial, which in this case transfers itself on the general appearance of the case and main dial design. The red linings on the inner circle bring alive Bentley memories rather vividly.

In terms of technicalities, there are some impressive add-ons such as the variable tachometer and the ‘30-second chronograph’, which is based on a 1926 patent of Breitling, helping track time to the level of 1/8th of a second. The movement is a self winding mechanism, which has been certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.

The vibration rate clocks up to 28,800 vibrations an hour, and there are 38 jewels in the body of the central movement of the watch. For those looking to grab one of these, they are available for a price tag of $12,045 in all the Breitling Boutiques.

Further, the originality and strength of the all-black design are accentuated by the equally matt black-clad hands and hour-markers and by a rubber strap with central knurled raised motif inspired by Bentley radiator grilles.
