Bugatti has finally showcased all six members of the Bugatti Legends series during the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance: Jean-Pierre Wimille, Jean Bugatti, Meo Costantini, Rembrandt Bugatti,Black Bess, and Ettore Bugatti. Alongside these magnificent vehicles, the luxury automaker also released the Bugatti Capsule Collection, for those who want their attire to match what they’re driving.
The collection includes leather jackets, pants, T-shirts, gloves, belts, hats, scarves, and bags, with each limited edition Bugatti inspiring a different outfit. Made from high-end materials like buffalo, deer, calf and cordovan leather, as well as precious metals, these items of clothing are designed to be just as exclusive as their motorized “counterparts”.
The Jean-Pierre Wimille Legend, for instance, is a tribute to one of Bugatti’s great drivers from the 1930s, the automaker’s first winner at Le Mans. The collection features a jacket with stylized drawings of the Le Mans circuit and the driver’s signature, with the same design elements also present on some of the T-shirts.
The Black Bess Legend is inspired by the iconic Bugatti Type 18 Black Bess, one of the world’s first super sports cars. The outfit that comes with it includes man’s unique edition T-shirt in gray mercerized jersey with a one-color print, a woman’s T-shirt with black silk front, one-color print and Swarovski crystal details, and a back in silk jersey, black leather driver’s gloves, and a unisex one-color plongé leather belt with gold-finish EB monogram buckle.
The six Legends were all released as limited editions consisting of just three vehicles, each based on the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
