First of all, I want to welcome you aboard. Can you tell our readers where you’re originally from and where you currently reside?

Thank you. I am originally from Monroe, NC and I currently reside in Charlotte, NC.

How did you get into modeling?

I had done a few minor fashion shows as a child and as I got older people would ask me had I ever thought about a career in modeling and I would always respond, “who me?” *laughs* but as time progressed a friend of mine at the time who was a MUA (make up artist) needed a few new shots to showcase her work in her portfolio asked me would I be up for taking a few shots for her and I agreed. We looked at the finished product and from there I’ve been hooked and working non-stop.

What is one thing about you that very few people know?

Hmm. I’ve never really thought about that but now that you ask I have a million things coming to mind. I know you asked for one but I’ll share two! I am a very good writer. I actually wrote a poem in high school that just so happened to be published. I was also on the Jenny Jones Show kids talent show segment when I was younger.

What sets you apart from other models out there in the world?

What sets me apart from other models in the world is my work ethic. I do not want to be categorized as a certain type of model. This type or that type. I want to create my own brand so that when people see me they don’t try to put me in a box. All they’re able to say is that I am me and I do it my way. I study to find ways in which I can continue to recreate myself with each opportunity.

What are your hobbies?

I love to dance and shop! I direct and choreograph a dance ministry of about 30 kids here locally at my church. Dance is and always will be my first love.

You’re in Charlotte, what are some good places in Charlotte that our readers can check out if they’re ever in town?

A few good places to visit if you’re ever in town…there’s always something going on uptown. You can go up there with no plans and find a million things to do. There’s the Epicenter which is a huge 3 story building with a theater, clubs, retail stores, bowling alley, and restaurants in it. I also enjoy going to the Boardwalk which is a huge lake close to uptown where you can ride boats, feed the water fowl, and enjoy some of the great places to eat surrounding it. If all that fails go to Carowinds! It’s a huge amusement park. Charlotte is big so you’re bound to find something that fits you.

In terms of growth, what sort of improvements regarding yourself have you experienced in the last 5 years?

In terms of growth within the last 5 years I have definitely become more mature mentally. I have also let myself live a little and challenged myself on things I was too afraid to do. I’ve been delivering stronger work and being more hands on in my career.

If you had to improve one thing about yourself, what would it be?

If I had to improve one thing about myself it would have to be learning to allow myself to take a break from time to time. I am a workaholic.

What makes you a great candidate for a Bachelor?

What makes me a great candidate for a bachelor is that I know exactly what it is I want in life and I go for it. I am also all for helping my mate to become what he wants to be as long as he’s making an effort.

What type of man catches your attention? What type of physical or mental attributes does he need to have?

The type of man that catches my attention is one who is as driven and determined as I am. Physical attributes are not my only concern but a nice body and a nice smile will always catch my attention [Laughs]. I am very spiritual so we definitely have to have like ways in that arena.

What are you goals, both short term and long term?

My short term goals are simply to be the best that I can be at all I choose to do. So far I’ve been doing an amazing job! My long term goals are to leave a legacy behind my name and behind my work. I also would love to own my own dance studio.

Our readers will be seeing a lot of you. What can they expect from you in the future?

Readers can expect to see me in Silk Magazine, Dymez Lounge Magazine, Rising Stars Magazine, BADD Magazine and a few others. There are to many to name [Laughs]. I am currently running for Model of the Year in the Queen City area so hopefully they will see me accepting that honor in December. Also I am currently working on my website and filming a series of shorts and behind the scenes videos to add to my YouTube account so that they may follow everything I have going on. I love my support system and those who constantly show me love.

Is there anything you would like to say to our readers?

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the readers for taking the time out to read this interview and to get to know Shauntese Cierra “the person” a little better. They can step into my world by following me on Twitter & Instagram @only1tese ; To Dominico and Reggie Sosa thank you for this opportunity. Be great in whatever you choose to do!
