Maybe calling it a “luxury helicopter” is a bit redundant. After all, if you commute daily via a fleet of whirling birds, you practically have a few million dollars at your disposal. Still, for those who are quite particular about complementing all their mode of transportation and not shy in tapping into the off-shore bank accounts in the Cayman, there is the Eurocopter EC145 Style.
Created in conjunction with Europe’s largest aerospace conglomerate,
European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), the Eurocopter EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style is the first product for the new Mercede-Benz Style, a division headed by the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio in Como, Italy, the Eurocopter EC145 bears the hallmarks of the Tri-Star both inside and out. As with any high end vehicles within the Mercedes-Benz product line, potential customers have numerous options to appoint the cockpit and cabin of the EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style. In addition to leather upholstery, wood paneling, as well as flooring and flooring, there is the ambient interior lighting taken from the newest E and S-Class, dimmed and adjustable in both intensity and color.
The alterations are not limited to only visual cues, however. Inspired by the modular interior of its R-Class, the seating on EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style are mounted on rails. The interior arrangements can be configure accordingly to the needs, from supple space for all 8 passengers to “multi-function boxes” with cooler, table, or a 15-inch monitor with DVD player. Meant for both business function and personal usage, the storage section near the tail rotor can accommodate luggage sets, golf clubs, even mountain bikes and surf boards for those true “holiday destinations”.
