The Bachelor Project recently spoke with Royal Flyness, author of three top books that caters to online daters. Flyness has been featured on the Tyra Banks show as well as major radio show outlets. His 3 books, From myspace to my place for men and women, and The facebook datebook are blazing the net right now. We spoke to Flyness about his books and how he got started. Enjoy!

What’s up Flyness, help our readers get familiar with who you are and what you do?

My name is Flyness and I am the author of three books showing men and women how to ‘step up their game’ online. I teach everything from how to create a good profile, find good prospects, and help them navigate the online dating scene. The men’s guide even gives the fellas tips on getting women OFF the internet and to their place within the hour!

How did you get started on the online dating scene?

When I was younger, I moved around a lot, which made it hard to establish friendships, along with meeting women. I was also very shy which didn’t help. Therefore I turned to phone chatlines and eventually the internet to meet women. Over the past 12 years, I have perfected the craft.

You attended Hampton University, did your experiences from College aid you with gaining knowledge about women mindset of women?

Every experience I’ve had, including my attendence at Hampton University helped shape my insight into a woman’s mindset. I’ve had many successes as well as failures in the dating game. However, I learned from my failures the most.

What inspired you to write your first book ‘From myspace to my place?’

After getting a lot of success from meeting women online, close friends of mine used to always ask me for advice on situations. Eventually word spread to the point where I was told on multiple occasions, “You should write a book.” That’s how it all started.

You have a female addition of the book as well, what makes that version stand out from the male version?

The female addition is “From MySpace to My Place: The Ladies Guide to Finding Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now Online.” That book is totally different as men and women have different and unique challenges in the dating world–picking the “right” man and discouraging stalkers are two key distinctions. That book is every woman’s definitive guide to meet guys online the correct and safe way.

You didn’t stop with the online books, you also have your third book the Facebook datebook, what inspired you to write this book?

“The Facebook Datebook for Men” was created to address the needs of my audience. While many found “From MySpace to My Place” helpful, I still received a number of questions from guys who needed specific advice tailored to Facebook. After answering dozens of questions, I felt it was due time for a book on Facebook Dating.

I see you have been seeing good numbers and ratings with your current books, is there a forth book in the works?

Right now, I’m working hard to promote my current projects. But stay tuned!

Why should guys who are not familiar with your books purchase them?

Every man who is open to improving himself should always read, whether it be one of my books or someone else’s. No one is born perfect and we can all learn from one another. However as someone who’s dating hundreds of women from the net, both men and women should open themselves to learning from someone with my level of expertise.

What else can we expect from Flyness in the near future?

On December 19, 2009 I will be at Robin’s Bookstore in Philadelphia, PA for a book signing and discussion forum. For more details, you can go to http://www.FacebookDatebook.com. In March 2010, I am scheduled to do a live reading with Abiola Abrams of VH-1’s Tough Love. Other than that, expect to see a whole lot more of Flyness!

Give our readers who are not familiar with your work the places where they can check you out at and purchase your books?

They can check out my books at any major retail bookstore or Amazon.com. However, the easiest ways to get my books are by logging onto http://www.myspacetomyplace.com/ or http://www.facebookdatebook.com/. They can also keep up with me via twitter at twitter.com/Flyness

Props to Flyness and Dominico
