A new/old boot with an interesting history, Red Wing release the Kangatan, a reworked version of the 888.
Originally designed in 1963 for former Red Sox left fielder, one of the greatest hitters of all time, Ted Williams, the ‘SuperSetter’ as it was known was a unique sports boot which combined racing green Australian kangaroo hide leather, a Scottish zug leather vamp, an English overlay pac toe, German speed laces, Norwegian reverse water-repellent welting and Swiss Vibram lug soles. Sold exclusively through Sears with its own Williams branded box, a well-travelled boot indeed. This updated version, the Kangatan 8180, features a Traction Tred outsole, Goodyear Welt construction and green Kangatan Portage leather. Available soon online and instore.
